The vehicle manufacturer’s specifications regarding trailer load and nose weight are decisive for driving. For the max. trailer weight of your car please refer to the owner’s manual or your car homologation documents, the values specified for the towing hitch must not be exceeded. Formula for D-Value: Max. trailerweight (kg) x Max. permissible weight towing vehicle (kg) 9,81 Max. trailerweight (kg) + Max. permissible weight towing vehicle (kg) 1000 The fixing points specified as standard must be observed. National guidelines concerning official approval of accessories must be observed. These installation and operating instructions must be enclosed with the vehicle papers. All our products are controlled upon dispatch with a weight control system. In the case of missing parts we can only accept a request of replacement with the weight control sticker. After about 1000 km use, re-tighten the bolts and nuts to the specified torque.
7(11) 034931 FITTING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Unpack the towing bracket and check its contents against the parts list. If necessary, remove the underseal from around the fitting points of the luggage compartment/ frame members. 2. Dismount the bumper. Remove 6 screws at the front of the bumper. Remove 2 nuts (these will no longer be used) and 2 bolts on the lower side. Remove 1 push button in both wheel arches behind the wheel. Fold in the wheel arch lining and remove on both sides the bolt underneath. Loosen the connector from the parking sensors. Remove the bumper. 3. Dismount the inside bumper (6 bolts). The inside bumper will no longer be used. 4. Mount the crossbar “1″ against the rear panel at the holes “A” using 6 bolts M8x35, plain washers and spring washers. 5. Place part “3″ at the holes “E” and “K”. 6. Mount part “2″ at hole “B” using 1 bolt M12x35 and spring washer, at hole “C” using 1 bolt M12x35, spring washer and nut and at hole “D” using 1 bolt M12x110, large washers, distance tube, spring washer and nut. 7. Mount part “4″ at the holes “F” using 2 bolts M10x30, plain washers, spring washers and nuts and at hole “E” using 1 bolt M10x30, plain washer and spring washer. 8. Mount part “5″ at hole “G” using 1 bolt M12x35 and spring washer, at hole “H” using 1 bolt M12x35, spring washer and nut and at hole “J” using 1 bolt M12x110, large washers, distance tube, spring washer and nut. 9. Mount part “6″ at the holes “L” using 2 bolts M10x30, plain washers, spring washers and nuts and at hole “K” using 1 bolt M10x30, plain washer and spring washer. 10. Attach the towbar. Use the tightening tolerances from the torque table on page 1. 11. Make a recess in the bumper according the detail. 12. Mount the bumper at the holes “M” using 2 bolts M6x25, plain washers, spring washers and nuts. 13. Replace all in point 2 removed parts. 14. Mount the ball and socket plate at the holes “N” using 2 bolts M12x70 (10.9), plain washers and lock nuts. 15. Attach the ball. Use the tightening tolerances from the torque table on page 1
